My Story

A Work in Progress, both the page and me

My love story with computers

I joined for engineering in Information Technology at Rajagiri School Of Engineering and Technology, Kochi in 2016. Though I have started coding in class 4, it wasn't until my years in college that I explored programming. As luck would have it, I had great bosses in my internships, amazing connections in the community to reach out to, and a lot of freedom to explore that Computer Science became my primary passion. I was specifically interested in how computers understood language.
I briefly worked with UST as a Product Development Engineer for ML and NLP before joining the University of Arizona for my Master's Degree in Computer Science
My Stint with Social Impact
I started Pehia Foundation with Sreepriya Radhakrishnan on October 2, 2017, when we felt that women and girls around us lacked visibility, opportunity in tech, and their path to tech was made unnecessarily hard. May it be in my personal life and my career aspirations, or may it be in the tech ecosystems in Kochi and many homes in Kerala, the transformation the work at non-profit has been amazing. No words could describe how moving and massive an impact Pehia had in many hundred lives, including mine. Lots of events and lives touched. When I left Pehia, it was a non-profit with over 300 members in its inner community, nominated for a state award Sthree Shakthi Awards, and featured multiple times in national and state media. We were a community partner of the Kerala Startup Mission. I ended my time with Pehia in December of 2020.
I currently volunteer with Women In Technology International (WITI) in contributing to its efforts in Indian ecosystem.
